John Marshall to Participate in the Abilities Expo in Schaumburg

The John Marshall Law School Fair Housing Legal Clinic will have a table at the Abilities Expo in Schaumburg, Ill., July 8 through 10.

The event will be held at the Schaumburg Convention Center, and attendance in free and hours are Friday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This is nation’s largest event for people with disabilities and their caregivers. The expo will feature exhibits, workshops, celebrities, events and activities appealing to the spectrum of people with disabilities, from children to seniors.

Representatives of the fair housing clinic will be in attendance each of the three days, offering information regarding fair housing law, and will offer information on how the disabled and their caregivers can be proactive against discriminatory practices when finding housing.

The fair housing clinic helps those who have been illegally denied housing because of discrimination under federal, state, and local fair housing laws and ordinances.
