The John Marshall Law School Welcomes College Students for Law School Insights Program

The John Marshall Law School Office of Diversity Affairs hosted 25 rising college juniors and seniors for its Third Annual Legal Education Access Program (LEAP).

These students were selected from hundreds of applicants for a weeklong program Aug. 1 through 5 that provided the training and skills necessary to successfully apply to law school.  LEAP was developed to support the pipeline of diversity in the legal profession by inspiring students from historically under-represented minority groups. The program is partly supported by Kaplan Test Prep which is awarding a full LSAT prep course free to each of the 25 participants.

LEAP offers the students workshops on résumé and personal statement preparation, test taking strategies and time management. The participants also get to participate in mock law school classes and in a mock trial competition.
