The Illinois Law & Leadership Institute’s summer enrichment pilot program instructors Phillip Rutherford, Clyde Guilamo and Terrance Garmon kept score while quizzing students on their law knowledge during a break in the program at The John Marshall Law School on Wednesday. Chicago area students are participating in the three-week program, ending on Friday, to learn more about a career in law. The institute is developed by the Illinois State Bar Association’s Diversity Pipeline Committee and is providing students with the experience as a way to motivate them to develop writing and oral advocacy skills to succeed in high school, college and beyond, according to the ISBA.
