The John Marshall Law School Hires New Art, Public Affairs Directors

The John Marshall Law School has hired two new directors to head their visual and public relations efforts.

Maria Villegas has been named the new Art Director and Co-Director of Content Development. Before joining John Marshall, Villegas spent several years on art direction and strategy for clients throughout Chicago, including at Foote, Cone & Belding.

Villegas has helped designed and execute branding and advertising design strategies for the cities of Chicago and Evanston as well as for Fortune 100 clients. A Northville, Mich., native, Villegas graduated with a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Wheaton College.

Christine Kraly has been named the new Director of Public Affairs, overseeing the school’s public relations and promotions efforts.

Indiana native Kraly comes to John Marshall after spending several years as a full-time and freelance reporter and editor. Her investigations and stories about crime, courts and more have appeared in The Times of Northwest Indiana, Chicago Lawyer Magazine, and D Magazine, among others.

She received her undergraduate degree in American Studies from the University of Notre Dame and her master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Before attending Northwestern, Kraly performed public relations work for nonprofits in Washington, D.C., including the National Head Start Association.
