Her article on truth commissions is being included in an exhibit “Opening the Black Box: The Charge Is Torture,” opening Oct. 4, 2012, at Sullivan Galleries, 33 S. State St., Chicago, in conjunction with the School of the Art Institute. The Chicago Torture Justice Memorials Project put together the exhibit of more than 70 proposals of how to memorialize documented cases of Chicago Police torture. The exhibit continues through Dec. 21, 2012.

He has been invited to address the Iowa Radiological Society at its November 2012 meeting at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. His presentation for the morning will be “Why Do Radiologists Get Sued?” and his afternoon presentation will be “Communication Issues and Do the ACR Guidelines Represent the Standard of Care?”

He was a guest on Chicago Public Radio’s “Morning Shift” program on Oct. 1, 2012 discussing the new term of the United States Supreme Court. He also appeared on the station’s “Afternoon Shift” in late September discussing voter restrictions in the upcoming Nov. 6, 2012, national election.
He was interviewed the week of Sept. 24 by Congressional Quarterly on the House of Representatives’ lawsuit against Attorney General Eric Holder for documents related to the Fast and Furious program.

He was invited to the Preserving the Historic Road Conference Sept. 22, 2012, in Indianapolis were he discussed “The National road and Its Constitutional, Political and Contemporary Significance.” The national road is the first federally financed interstate highway constructed in the 19th century. He outlined the road in context for the early interpretation of the federal spending power in the United States Constitution, and shared his views on the significance of this history as it relates to current issues facing the nation.
