Auction to Benefit South African Children

Students at The John Marshall Law School are hosting a silent auction as part of a reception from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, at the South African Consulate, 200 S. Michigan Ave.

Auction items, including tickets for a Blackhawks game, the musical “Jersey Boys” and a signed pylon from Chicago Bears star Brian Urlacher, will help raise funding for the Cotlands, a South African orphanage for children with HIV and AIDS,  and the Creche Preschool, a nursery, preschool, and day-care located in Soweto.

For tickets, contact Morgan Johnson at morgank.johnson@gmail.com

John Marshall students will present the monies raised through the auction when they travel to South Africa in March as part of the International Human Rights seminar focusing on comparative constitutional law in South Africa.
