The May 2011 class is the first to wear redesigned red robes for commencement. Admiring the robes when they picked them up on Friday, May 20, are Bridget Brockman (left) and Jennifer Goedken. The red gown signifies a doctoral degree by the velvet front panels. For John Marshall, the velvet panels carry the John Marshall seal stitched in gold threads (visible on Goedken’s robe). The three black stripes on the sleeve indicate a doctoral degree.
