Marc Ginsberg
Activities
On Dec. 30, 2011, the Supreme Court of Illinois reappointed Ginsberg as Professor-Reporter to the Committee on Discovery Procedures of the Judicial Conference of Illinois. The appointment is from Jan. 1, 2012, to Dec. 31, 2012.
On Jan. 9, 2012, he presented “Medical-Legal Issues In Radiology” to the Radiology Department at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Ill.

Activities
He was a panelist for a National Business Institute seminar on Advanced Immigration Issues in Eau Claire, Wisc. On Dec. 12, 2011. His discussion focused on adoption and immigration, and ethics in immigration for the national closed-circuit broadcast program.
He led a discussion on “Is Immigration a Jewish Issue?” for Chicago’s Congregation Ezras Israel in Chicagoon Dec. 4, 2011, as part of its Sunday morning speakers series.
Mark E. Wojcik
Activities
He concluded his term as Chair of the Section on Legal Writing, Reasoning, and Research, one of the largest sections within the Association of American Law Schools (AALS). Wojcik was elected to the executive committee of the AALS Section on Legal Writing, Reasoning, and Research. He also was elected to the executive committee of the AALS Section on Graduate Programs for Foreign Lawyers.
During the 2012 AALS annual meeting in Washington, D.C., he organized a full-day section field trip on Jan. 5, 2012, to the Law Library of Congress attended by more than 100 professors from across the United States. The Law Library of Congress is the largest law library in the world. The program introduced that library’s resources to professors who teach legal research and writing.
On Jan. 6, 2012, he co-chaired an AALS panel, with Professor Kathleen Elliott Vinson of Suffolk University School of Law, on the “Best Practices in Legal Writing, Reasoning, and Research.” Speaking on that panel were Seattle University Professors Mary Bowman, Lisa Brodoff, and Sara Rankin; Ruth Anne Robbins of Rutgers School of Law-Camden; Tracy Bach of Vermont Law School; and Grace Calabrese Tonner of University of California, Irvine School of Law.
On Jan. 7, 2012, Wojcik introduced a panel co-sponsored by the AALS Section on Legal Writing, Reasoning, and Research and the AALS Section on Graduate Programs for Non-U.S. Lawyers. The panel highlighted the challenges presented in international skills education for lawyers and law students who speak English as a second language.
On Jan. 8, 2012, he co-chaired a special three-hour panel, with Professor Judy Rosenbaum of Northwestern University School of Law, on “Practical Teaching Tips for Legal Skills Professors.” The program was sponsored by the AALS Section on Legal Writing, Reasoning, and Research.
On Jan. 10, 2012, he spoke on “Libel Tourism” at the meeting of the Chicago Bar Association Committee on Foreign and International Law. The presentation discussed Illinois and federal statutes that limit the enforcement of foreign defamation judgments obtained against authors who reside in the United States.
On Jan. 12, 2012, he spoke to a first year class at California Western School of Law in San Diego on practical skills to improve legal writing.
